Badoo.com is a dating website that has many different features and offers multiple ways to meet new people. It has a quick and easy sign up process, and offers several ways for users to verify their profiles. Badoo has a simple messaging system that allows users to instantly and easily communicate with one other. Although users can change their privacy settings to filter their messages, there is still a chance of receiving a number of unwanted messages, since users don’t necessarily have to match in order to message one another.
If Badoo isn’t helping you find the relationship you wanted, there are other dating sites out there that have more rigorous screening processes so users will only interact with those deemed as being compatible with them. While others allow users to instantly connect and communicate.
In this article, we’ll tell you about 7 Badoo alternatives, and what each one has to offer you!
eHarmony is one of the most popular online dating sites. They are well-known for fostering long lasting, meaningful relationships. When you sign up for eHarmony, you’ll be asked to complete a questionnaire that will help to determine who will be most compatible with you. This means that anyone eHarmony matches you with will (theoretically) be perfectly compatible with you. However, unlike Badoo, eHarmony isn’t free to use. If you’re looking to start a real relationship, eHarmony may be a good place for you to find your special someone.

Match.com is another great alternative to Badoo, and is one of eHarmony’s biggest competitors. Although Badoo has multiple ways for users to verify their profiles, anyone can sign up for an account, and users don’t have to go through screening to use the site. Match has a thorough screening process, including background checks, so users can feel safe interacting with their matches. Similarly to eHarmony, Match charges users a monthly fee to use their services, and you don’t need to worry about not finding someone on Match – they offer a 6-month guarantee; if you don’t find love in the first 6 months, you can keep using their services for another 6 months – free!

Tinder is one of the newer alternatives to Badoo. It’s an online dating app that is most popular with the younger generation. You can think of Tinder as an app for online speed-dating. Tinder pulls your basic information from your Facebook profile to speed up the sign-up process. It takes away all of the extra steps that eHarmony & Match.com have for determining compatibility, and allows users to determine compatibility for themselves. Users can choose how much information they want to add, and do not have to answer any questions before they start making connections. Tinder will show you other users in your area, and you can choose to “like” them, or pass. A nice thing about Tinder is that users have to both “like” each other in order to send a message, so you aren’t likely to get unwanted messages. The Tinder app is free to download and to use, but does offer additional paid features.

OkCupid is another site like Badoo that is similar to the last alternative we mentioned, Tinder. The matching system for OkCupid is meant to be like playing a fun game – users answer a variety of quizzes with questions about their personalities, as well as their preferences when it comes to dating and relationships. OkCupid matches uses the answers that users give to these questions to determine which users will be compatible with each other. You can sign up and use OkCupid for free, but they also offer additional features with their optional paid subscription, including additional search options, more profile views, and no ads.
Another great alternative to Badoo is PlentyOfFish. PlentyOfFish isn’t as similar to Badoo as some of the other options we’ve mentioned, but is quite similar to eHarmony.com. PlentyOfFish has two tests to determine which users will be compatible with each other. The first test is called the “Chemistry Test” (don’t let the name scare you away, you won’t need to know the periodic table), which focuses on users’ emotional needs in order to determine which users will be compatible with each other in a long-term relationship.
The second test is called the “Relationship Needs” test. As you’ve probably guessed, this test focuses on what each user needs out of a relationship, and what may have caused problems in your previous relationship(s). You can sign up for and use PlentyOfFish for free, and you can choose to pay for additional features if you want to.
Zoosk is another one of the sites like Badoo that we’d recommend checking out. Zoosk is similar to Tinder, since it relies heavily on integration with users’ Facebook accounts. The experience of using Zoosk is like playing a game – it has personality quizzes and popularity contests. Similar to Badoo, Zoosk doesn’t have any tests that determine compatibility between users. Based on what you do on their site, Zoosk will adjust the people you match with. The more you do on the site, the better Zoosk will know what kind of people you’d be interested in. Zoosk is free to sign up for, but most of the communication options are unavailable without a paid subscription.
Last but not least on our list of Badoo competitors is Spark.com. Spark is another online dating website that focuses on helping people find a great connection, and start a long-lasting relationship. Spark has a mandatory test for all users, called the “Color Code” test. This test helps to determine what drives your behaviour, your talents, and your needs in a relationship, to better establish who you’ll be compatible with. Just like Zoosk, many of the communication options are locked without a paid subscription.
