How Our Creative Common License Works

A big part of the TechBoomers mission is to empower instructors and organizations that teach digital literacy by offering our educational tutorials for them to use to supplement and expand their technology training programs.

As such, we allow the use of our tutorials in the following ways:

  • Convert our article tutorials into PDF to digitally distribute to students.

  • Print our article tutorials to distribute as handouts to students.

  • Embed our YouTube videos on website(s).

  • Play our videos during in-person classes.

In return, we ask that the instructor or organization add a link on their website’s homepage, footer, resources page, or similar page to

We also permit websites to post our tutorials on their websites as long as they provide proper attribution at the top of the tutorial, including all of the following elements:

  1. Title of the article with a URL embedded of the source page

  2. Link to defining TechBoomers as the author.

  3. Proper declaration of the creative commons license: “is licensed under CC BY 4.0

This is an example of how attribution must be displayed at the top of all pages that have any of our tutorial content:
