If you’ve decided that Meetup is no longer meeting your needs, you may be thinking it’s time for a change, and you want to delete your Meetup account. Luckily, your friends at TechBoomers have written an easy-to-follow tutorial for you with simple steps, and a detailed step-by-step guide with images in case you’re looking for more.
Need a little more than that? Read our detailed step-by-step instructions below to make sure you don’t miss anything.
You will need to log in one final time to delete your Meetup account.
Click on the profile picture icon in the top-right of the Meetup website. Then click Settings from the pop-up menu to access your account settings.
At the bottom of this page, find the section labelled “Your Meetup account,” and click the orange link labelled “Delete your Meetup account.” From there, you will be taken to the final page.
Click in the highlighted box and enter the password you used to sign up for Meetup.
The final step is to click Submit. Be sure you want to do this, as all of your information will be taken off a Meetup, and you will need to start over if you decide you want to join Meetup again in the future.
And that’s how you delete your Meetup account. If you’re looking for a website that does something similar, but need an alternative to Meetup’s style, check out our article on the best websites and apps like Meetup.
TechBoomers offers free articles that teach people how to use technology to make their lives easier (and more fun!). To support our work, some of our content contains links to websites that pay us affiliate commissions when our users visit them through us and make purchases. Learn more about how this works.
