It's never a nice feeling to get locked out of an online account because you can't remember your password for it. Fortunately, Pandora is a free service, so it's not a huge loss. On the other hand, if you're paying for a Pandora One subscription, not being able to access your Pandora account may be a little more problematic. In any event, if you need to get back into your Pandora account, here's what to do.
Go to www.pandora.com in your web browser. In the top-right corner, click Log In.
On the log-in screen for Pandora, click Forgot Password? near the bottom of the screen.
On the screen that appears, click in the box labelled "Email Address" and type in the email address that you used to sign up for Pandora. Then click Reset Password. This will cause Pandora to send an email to you with a hyperlink that will take you to a place where you can reset your Pandora password.
Go to your email client and find the email from Pandora Support titled "Reset Your Pandora Password". Click on it to open it, and then click the blue hyperlink inside (blurred out here for privacy reasons).
Note that you have to use this hyperlink within 24 hours of getting it, or else it will expire and you'll have to start this tutorial over again.
On the screen that appears, click in the box labelled "New Password" and type in the new password that you want to use to protect your Pandora account. Remember, it has to be at least six characters in length. Then, click in the box labelled "Confirm Password" and type in a copy of the password that you just chose. Finally, click Reset Password.
There you go! Your Pandora account has a new password, and (hopefully) you can get back into it now! For future reference, we have some tips on how to remember your passwords in our How to Manage Passwords lesson. We hope at least some of them are useful!
